TESTIMONIALS

Patti C. - Georgia, United States

“Laura helped me solve the biggest mystery of my life, my biological paternity. She was very thorough with researching my DNA matches and locating documents to help prove theories. Laura kept me involved in the process and gave me "projects", such as sending letters, and requesting documents. This made me feel like I was part of the discovery. Not only was she true to her research roots, she wasn't afraid of going out on a limb and testing new theories.”

WHAT IS GENEALOGY?

Merriam Webster defines genealogy as, "an account of the descent of a person, family, or group from an ancestor or from older forms." Simply, genealogy is the study of family history and lineage, tracing the ancestry and descendants of individuals and families. It involves the collection and analysis of records, such as birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, wills, deeds, census records, and other historical documents to determine relationships between individuals and generations. Genealogy can also involve genetic testing to identify shared DNA and ancestral origins.

WHY DOES YOUR GENEALOGY MATTER?

Genealogy is an important part of understanding our family history and our identities. It helps us to understand who we are and where we come from, and to appreciate the experiences and contributions of our ancestors. Knowing our roots can also help us to form a better understanding of current events and the world around us.

Genealogy helps to bridge the gap between generations, allowing us to keep our family's stories and traditions alive for future generations. It can be a source of pride and joy, as we explore and celebrate our family's accomplishments.

Genealogy can help us connect with other family members we didn't know we had or didn't know how to previously identify or locate.
